Challenge
Give every purchase an owner and a clear next step

A Fermi & Frost product concept

Where does procurement actually get stuck?

An employee needs a tool, a manager needs budget control, and a buyer needs a complete specification. In the usual process, everyone runs a separate email thread. The request exists in several places at once, and somebody has to chase its actual status manually.

The problem is not the number of approvals. It is that responsibility for the next step disappears after each approval.

02 / PRODUCT DECISION

One request.
One clear status.

Every request has an owner, a deadline and a next action. Discussion, documents and decision history stay with it.

INTERFACE CONCEPT / SCENARIO PARAMETERS

INSIDE THE SOLUTION

What should
work differently.

01

Start with the need

A new request only needs the task, deadline and budget. The buyer helps refine the specification.

02

Make waiting visible

Replace a vague “in progress” with who is making the decision and when an answer is needed.

03

Keep the context

Changing the supplier or amount does not erase earlier agreements.

How to tell
whether it is better.

Test a chain of real requests: can an employee find the status without sending a chat message, and can a buyer continue without hunting for context? Track waiting time at each handover and the number of clarification requests.

Start with one department and one purchase type. Automate routing after checking that the process is clear.
